I agree about the replay thing, going though with a different character feels kind of awkward whilst the character you make feels natural and brilliant. I did complete it a second time, but only much later on and I’d say my choices were fairly similar, bar saving the council at the end the second time (the first time I was slightly more pragmatic). It was also, both times, a sleep deprived occasion spanning a few days and highly engrossing. Definitely worth the £3.99 i paid for it.

It looks like a fairly good review, and I’d have to say I like it generally, just seems to be lacking the character of the other ones you have done.

Weeeell, I don’t know. I like gaming. If someone works hard to make a game, then I have a tremendous amount of respect for them, regardless of how successfully they pulled it off. I quite like the celebratory tone of the site so far I don’t want to be Yahtzee, after all.

A game would have to be offensively lazy and despicable for me to really tear into it …

You should force yourself to pick up a cheap copy of a game that you know you are very likely to hate, and then review it. I would actually like to read an angry MNT review.

I’ve been playing bits of Far Cry 2 lately. It’s been hard to play anything for long over Christmas as I’ve just had so much gaming to fit in.
I think that Far Cry 2 was the game I had the least expectation about when I got it and it has turned out to be the star of the festive period for me. I like it a lot, as they say.

Gave this a try, it’s……..horrible. Truly, unpleasant. Love some of the graphical changes though.
